Itinerary Lake 69 Full Day
We depart from Huaraz early in the morning and travel through the picturesque Callejón de Huaylas Valley. Along the way, we pass traditional Andean villages and enjoy spectacular views of the Cordillera Blanca. After entering Huascarán National Park, we continue toward Cebollapampa (3,900 m / 12,795 ft), the starting point of our hike.
The trail gradually ascends through beautiful high-altitude landscapes, passing streams, waterfalls, and the famous lakes Chinancocha and Orconcocha. As we gain elevation, breathtaking views of glaciers and snow-capped peaks accompany us throughout the journey.
After approximately three hours of hiking, we reach the stunning Lake 69 (4,600 m / 15,092 ft), where the vibrant turquoise waters and dramatic mountain backdrop create one of the most spectacular views in the Peruvian Andes. Here, we have time to rest, take photographs, and enjoy the incredible scenery before beginning our descent.
After returning to Cebollapampa, private transportation will take us back to Huaraz, arriving in the late afternoon.
