    Huaraz – Pitec – Churup Lake – Huaraz

    We depart from Huaraz in the morning and travel by private transportation to Pitec (3,850 m / 12,631 ft), the starting point of our hike. The trail begins with a gradual ascent through scenic Andean landscapes, passing traditional farmlands, native vegetation, and small streams.

    As we gain elevation, the views of the surrounding mountains become increasingly spectacular. Along the route, we encounter a short rock-assisted section equipped with cables, adding a touch of adventure to the hike. After continuing along the trail, we finally reach the magnificent Churup Lake (4,450 m / 14,600 ft), whose brilliant turquoise waters reflect the surrounding peaks and glaciers.

    Here, we have time to relax, take photographs, enjoy a packed lunch, and appreciate the tranquility of this incredible natural setting before beginning our descent back to Pitec. Upon arrival, our private transportation takes us back to Huaraz in the afternoon.
