Itinerary Santa Cruz Trek – 4 Days / 3 Nights
Day 1: Huaraz – Cashapampa – Llamacorral Camp
We depart from Huaraz early in the morning and drive through the picturesque Callejón de Huaylas Valley toward the village of Cashapampa (2,900 m / 9,514 ft), the starting point of the trek. From here, we begin our hike through the Santa Cruz Valley, gradually ascending alongside the river and surrounded by impressive mountain scenery. After several hours of trekking, we arrive at Llamacorral Camp (3,760 m / 12,336 ft), where we spend our first night.

Day 2: Llamacorral – Arhuaycocha Lake – Taullipampa Camp
After breakfast, we continue deeper into the Santa Cruz Valley. Along the way, we enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks, including Alpamayo, Artesonraju, and Taulliraju. An optional excursion takes us to the stunning Arhuaycocha Lake, famous for its turquoise waters and spectacular glacier views. We then continue to Taullipampa Camp (4,250 m / 13,944 ft), one of the most scenic campsites in the Cordillera Blanca.

Day 3: Taullipampa – Punta Unión Pass – Paria Camp
Today is the most challenging and rewarding day of the trek. We ascend steadily toward Punta Unión Pass (4,750 m / 15,584 ft), the highest point of the route. From the summit, we enjoy panoramic views of snow-capped peaks, glaciers, and deep valleys stretching across the Cordillera Blanca. After taking time to admire the scenery and capture photos, we descend to Paria Camp (3,850 m / 12,631 ft) for our final night in the mountains.

Day 4: Paria – Vaquería – Huaraz
After breakfast, we complete the final section of the trek and reach the village of Vaquería. From there, private transportation takes us back to Huaraz via the spectacular Portachuelo de Llanganuco Pass (4,767 m / 15,640 ft), offering unforgettable views of the famous Llanganuco Lakes and the surrounding mountains. We arrive in Huaraz in the afternoon, marking the end of an incredible trekking adventure.
